MIA
I’ve been really absent around tumblr lately because I’m gearing up for a trip to Europe. Leaving Friday, so many things to do!
I am going to London, Istanbul and Barcelona.
Or, in nerd terms, maybe King’s Landing, Volantis and hm, Pentos?
I foresee myself taking pictures of all the royal things with the English lions just so I can give them stupid captions like...

ASOIAF video game?
Read this post from GRRM’s “Not a Blog.” George says that during his trip to Seattle for the ADWD tour, he stopped at Bungie. But he can’t tell us why, or else he’d have to kill us.
Bungie is a video game studio responsible for a game we’ve all heard of - Halo. Could Bungie be developing an ASOIAF-themed video game? Perhaps a MMORPG set in Westeros where...

sunandspear asked: I am kind of really jealous that you got to experience the food truck! Please tell me all about the food!
And the photo entitled "The Seven" in your Flickr album looks very similar to the thing Catelyn was making at Bran's bedside when he fell. Possible? Hehe.

Would you spend $1995 on Ice & Fire? →
Would you? Visit The Kings’ Keep blog to learn more and see why I, despite being a super ASOIAF fangirl, would not spend two grand on the series.

The Kings' Keep on Flickr →
For anyone who wasn’t able to get to the HBO Store in New York City, there are some pictures of the props and costumes that were on display. Not to be super creepy, but I touched Jon Snow’s costume… :)
Also, photos from the GOT food truck that brought Westerosi (and Pentoshi) food to New Yorkers back in March.

allalfieallen asked: Those photos are from a Reebok launch party last night in London. I posted them with watermarks and a bit later, a Tumblr user named jonquille posted them again after she'd AWESOMELY photoshopped the watermarks and the event's promo background away.
They look like a boy band, right?

blackfishblues:
(First posted on winter-is-coming.net. No spoilers.)
This HBO Blackfish thing is confusing the hell out of me. Note that I absolutely don’t believe that GRRM somehow owes me anything just because I invested emotionally in one of his minor characters; however he must be aware that the…
I may be biased because I too love the Blackfish, but this post is definitely worth...

HAPPY DANCING WITH DRAGONS!
To all of you Ice and Fire fans, the long-awaited day has arrived! We made it, and more importantly, George did it! So get reading!
There will be NO SPOILERS posted on The Kings’ Keep - on tumblr or on the Wordpress blog. I will also most likely take a hiatus for a few days to avoid spoilers, because you never know where a troll is lurking, and the Internetz...

Gwendoline Christie is Brienne of Tarth!
We were right: Gwendoline Christie is Brienne of Tarth! If you missed out on the speculation, scroll down a few posts to read and unravel George’s obscure clue.
I am a loyal Winter-is-Coming.net reader, and I believe it was there that Gwen was first mentioned for Brienne. Since first hearing about her on WiC, she has been my first choice.
Gwen isn’t ugly, but makeup, fake teeth and hair...

TIME praises A Dance with Dragons →
Lev Grossman of TIME has reviewed A Dance with Dragons, and the review is nothing but praise! But, a warning: SPOILERS for the first four books! So if you’re new to the series and are still working your way through the novels, particularly A Storm of Swords, TURN BACK. NOW. Do NOT click the link! I MEAN IT! However, I’ve quoted two choice, spoiler-free passages below:

Brienne cast?
On his LiveJournal, Not a Blog, GRRM gave us a new casting clue titled “I’m Blue”: The she-wolf of France has stormed the barbican. The Aussie turned her into a bunny.
Winter-is-Coming.net posted the clue and very shortly after, WiC reader Starkgirl offered up an answer that fits all of George’s criteria. Based on her research, it appears British actress Gwendoline...

Asha cast? →
Winter is Coming, the number one site for all GOT-related news/rumors/discussion/etc., posted that an actress named Gemma Whalen may have been cast as a female Greyjoy. However, her character’s name isn’t credited as Asha, but instead Yara. WiC posters speculate this is to distinguish Asha from Osha, but others have also pointed out that Yara sounds similar to Arya. Click on the link...

MARGAERY TYRELL as seen in WATERHOUSE →
John William Waterhouse is one of my favorite artists. This painting of a girl gathering flowers reminded me of the youngest Tyrell sibling. Notice the girl’s expression. She has a certain resolve and understanding despite her rather innocent appearance.
