Winter is Coming, the number one site for all GOT-related news/rumors/discussion/etc., posted that an actress named Gemma Whalen may have been cast as a female Greyjoy. However, her character’s name isn’t credited as Asha, but instead Yara.  WiC posters speculate this is to distinguish Asha from Osha, but others have also pointed out that Yara sounds similar to Arya.  Click on the link to read WiC’s entire article and fan comments.

Nothing is confirmed yet, but if she is our Asha/Yara, here are my two cents:  Gemma doesn’t look much like the Asha I imagined while reading.  But there’s something about her smirk that I think is very, very Greyjoy-esque.  What do you think?  Is she Asha?
